Ontario Opens New Carpool Lot in Mississauga

New Lot Will Help Encourage Carpooling and Improve Commutes

April 3, 2018

Ontario has opened a new carpool lot next to the Courtneypark Drive/Highway 410 interchange in Mississauga to encourage carpooling and make commuting more convenient.

The new carpool lot has 275 parking spaces and is fully illuminated. It will provide a safe and convenient meeting point for commuters travelling to and from Mississauga. Carpooling helps improve traffic flow, reduces greenhouse gas emissions and allows drivers to take advantage of Ontario’s expanding HOV network.

This work is part of the Highway 410 widening project, which expanded the highway from Highway 401 to Queen Street in Brampton from 8 to 10 lanes in November 2017, with another two lanes on track to be completed in Fall 2018.
