(Mississauga, ON) On July 15th, MPP Mangat held her Annual Community BBQ & Information Fair at Sandalwood Park next to Frank McKechnie Community Centre, 310 Bristol Road East, Mississauga for constituents from Mississauga-Brampton South. MPP Mangat has been hosting this annual event for residents to come out and to meet with their local MPP and gather information from different organizations pertaining to their daily lives.

Furthermore, besides being greeted by sunshine and warm temperatures, the community was entertained by singers, traditional Chinese music and dance, live DJ, and a clown – balloons & face-painting for children.

MPP Mangat’s accomplishments were recognized during the event, including: Hurontario LRT, Auto Insurance, expanding Sheridan College, and investments in Hospitals.

"The success of this BBQ is not only shown by the presence of the community. The main goal for this BBQ is to have the neighbourhood come out together, and be able to express their concerns to their local representative, while knowing the great work that has been done by different communities and organizations," said MPP Mangat.

This year, the following organizations participated:

  • Hurontario LRT Project Team
  • St. John's Ambulance
